NVidia's GeForce 8800 GTX needs more power from your computer than the standard PCIe slot it sits on provides. If you do not provide the amount of power necessary, your graphics adapter might not work properly and you might not see an image on the screen. Your computer provides an extra Molex power slot next to the PCIe slot dedicated for video, in case your graphics card does not have a Molex input.
Instructions
1. Find the four-pin Molex cable leading from your computer's power supply.
2. Check your graphics card for a Molex connector in the back. If you don't find a four-pin connector, look on your motherboard in the vicinity of your graphics adapter. If you cannot find this, you cannot supply supplementary power to your graphics card. This means you need another kind of motherboard mounted on your computer to get the job done.
3. Connect the Molex cable to the connector you found. Push it in so that the cable goes in all the way and sits steadily.
